The people behind the packet

Gable.
A grant shop of one desk.

No account managers. No handoffs. The writer who reads your RFP is the writer who files it. One person, your whole submission.

01 — How Gable started

It began with a rejected proposal.

A good program. A real need. A funder who never got past page two — because page two answered the wrong question.

Gable was built to fix that. Read the rubric first. Write to the reviewer, not the mission statement. Then check every box before the file ever uploads.

Seven years later the work is the same. Nonprofits and research teams bring us an open call and a deadline. We bring the funder research, the narrative, the budget, and the packet — filed early, every time.

Grants aren't won by passion. They're won by proposals that answer exactly what was asked.

02 — What we hold to

Four rules that shape every submission.

  • 01

    The rubric runs the room.

Reviewers score against criteria, not adjectives. We pull the scoring sheet apart before we write a word and build the narrative to hit every point that carries weight.

  • 02

    One writer, start to file.

You don't get passed to a junior. The person on your first call is the person tracking your budget tables at 4pm the day it's due. No handoffs, no diluted voice.

  • 03

    Early beats perfect-and-late.

A filed proposal beats a brilliant unfiled one. We work to a submit-ahead-of-deadline calendar. Confirmation in hand before the portal gets crowded.

  • 04

We'll tell you when to walk.

Some calls aren't worth chasing. If your program doesn't fit the funder, we say so before you pay for a full write. Honest odds over easy invoices.

03 — Who we sit down with

Small teams carrying big programs.

The executive director wearing five hats. The lab PI facing an NIH deadline. The community coalition with a strong case and no time to write it. We work with people who do the mission and need someone to make the paperwork win.

04 — Straight about the work

What Gable does — and what it won't promise.

We do this

The full application.

  • Find funders that actually fit your program.
  • Write the narrative to the funder's scoring rubric.
  • Build budgets and tables that reconcile to the dollar.
  • Package attachments and file ahead of the deadline.
We won't claim this

What no writer can.

  • A guaranteed award. No honest writer promises one.
  • Funding for a program that doesn't yet exist on paper.
  • A strong write on a 48-hour turnaround, sight unseen.
  • A cut of your award as our fee. We bill flat, per submission.
